BY VIRTUE OF POWERS vested in me, I, SIR GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice- Admiral of the same, do by these presents appoint you EDGAR DAVIDSON provisionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an unofficial member of the Legislative Council in the place of the Honourable Mr. S. H. Dodwell, who is temporarily absent from the Colony.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, at Government House, Victoria, Hong Kong, this 17th day of July, 1941.
